About

Frisco Pride is Frisco’s (and Collin County’s) oldest and longest-running LGBTQ+ organization. Established in 2000, Frisco Pride is an incorporated non-profit organization located in Frisco, Texas. We are open to all gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and supportive men and women who live, and/or work in Frisco, TX. We welcome participation from others in surrounding cities. In May 2023, we were granted our public charity (501(c)(3)) status.

As part of this transition, we modernized our mission and vision to reflect this new status, and provide the foundation for our future programming efforts.

Our Mission

Celebrating and Empowering Our LGBTQ+ Community

At the heart of our mission lies the commitment to forge an inclusive society where every person is celebrated and empowered for their authentic selves.

Our purpose is to ensure that each person, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression, can flourish and actualize their fullest potential. We achieve this by fostering a nurturing environment that offers robust support, comprehensive resources, and meaningful connections for individuals identifying as LGBTQ+, as well as their families, friends, and allies. In our pursuit of a world free from prejudice, we stand steadfast in our commitment to diversity, equity, and unconditional acceptance.

Our Vision

Our vision is of a compassionate, understanding world where diversity and inclusion are universally celebrated. We aim to be a leading catalyst for change, inspiring elected officials with our robust educational initiatives on the pivotal role of acceptance, diversity, and inclusion. We envision providing instrumental support and resources to other organizations to enhance their capabilities in serving the LGBTQ+ community.

Financial empowerment forms the cornerstone of our vision. We strive to become a beacon of hope and support for LGBTQ+ youth, providing financial assistance that enables them to overcome barriers, pursue their dreams, and achieve their full potential.

Ultimately, we aspire to be a reliable wellspring of information and resources, enlightening communities about the LGBTQ+ experiences and issues, and promoting greater understanding, empathy, and unity. In our envisioned future, every individual will feel seen, heard, and valued – living freely and authentically without fear of prejudice or discrimination.
