As the new year starts to settle in, we at Frisco Pride are making plans for 2023. One of the key learning moments from the last couple of years has been the idea of “relevance” – both as an organization and as individuals who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community. 2023 appears to be heating up on the political side especially as it relates to our trans brothers and sisters, and this is where our vigilance to relevance can really impact our future.
Moving forward in 2023, Frisco Pride will be working to become more relevant and focus on supporting our community through education, information, and charitable support, when possible. To help make that happen, Frisco Pride will be taking steps to become a recognized charitable organization. We hope to be able to support other organizations, groups, and activities in the coming months/years.
We will also be looking to start our get-togethers again over the summer and will be exploring a couple of progressive dinners (similar to a potluck). More details to come on that, and joining our Facebook Group will get you all the information you need as we start to plan these activities.
