Help Us Send Youth First Texas Members to National Equality March

Taking up the challenge issued by Cleve Jones during the North Texas GLBT Chamber of Commerce’s Pride Dinner, the Triangle Foundation is seeking contributions to send two additional youth from Youth First Texas (YFT) to the National Equality March in Washington D.C. (six youth were sponsored during the Chamber's dinner). Jones made the following the statement during the dinner, "If you can’t make it to the National Equality March in October, send someone in your place." The Triangle Foundation has taken up Jones' challenge and committed to gather donations from individuals, and other community organizations to raise the necessary funds to send some of our GLBT youth to Washington.

Same-Sex Attraction Survey

My name is Aaron Carlson and I am conducting a study at Texas Tech University under the direction of Dr. Erin Hardin. Our project investigates the self-perceptions of people with same sex attraction. The anonymous survey takes approximately 30-40 minutes to complete. You could even win $50 for your participation!

We hope the results of this study will help clinicians provide more effective and sensitive services to their LGB clients. In addition, this project could help make the process of 'coming out' much easier. Anyone who is above the age of eighteen and who identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual or questioning is eligible to participate. Anyone who participates will be eligible to enter a drawing for a $50 gift certificate to Amazon.com! Two of these prizes will be awarded at the completion of the study. PLEASE NOTE: The personal contact information that you submit to receive the award will be kept separate from the responses you provide on the survey.

Winter a good time to aerate lawn
By Glenn Everett Kopanski

This is the perfect time of year to consider aerating your lawn. A homeowner can do this themselves or hire a lawn service for the job, which will usually cost around $85-$100 per application, depending on the size of your lawn.
