A word from the Producer/Writer:
Dear Friends of the GLBT Community,
one need hardly pick up a newspaper or glance at CNN to witness the continued attempts to diminish the heart and spirit of the Gay-Lesbian-Bisexual-Transgendered Community. We pay our taxes, serve in the armed forces, contribute to the good of society in countless ways and yet our fight for basic human rights requires endless stamina and vigilance. I am a writer and for more than 25 years I have pled the cause of GLBT folks to be treated with the same simple dignity and value we should and must afford all human beings in this world we share. In collaboration with experienced and brilliant director, Mark-Brian Sonna we have put together a vibrant, dynamic evening of plays and performance pieces filled with humor, anger, romance, poignancy, courage and tenderness. It speaks to the very heart of what it means to be gay in American culture where (to put it kindly) diversity is not always cherished. Needless to say we feel our message is timely and essential. These are not only political but literary pieces, with lyricism and resonance. Through written from a GLBT point of view it is intended for audiences of all orientations. Let's make the world a better place.
We are in the process of fund-raising for basic expenses like space rental, technician’s fees, advertising, etc...and looking for sponsors. Whether purchasing advertising space in our program (designed by talented and inspired Graphic Artist Gene Verinder) donating, circulating word about the event or suggesting resources, we need your help. Please feel free to write me if you need details or wish to pass this along to potentially interested parties.
Sincerely,
Christopher S. Soden
